HOW TO MAXIMIZE SPACE
There’s a cringy feeling that clutter sends down your spine. It feels like a cold shiver. Seeing so much space around you just gives a clean feeling/touch to things. Whether you live in a tiny apartment or a huge mansion, maximizing space is good therapy. Below are a few tips that could help you to maximize space better:
Sometimes, you will realize that you have used more space for so little than you should. Organizing puts things in perspective. There are some items that can be placed in one tiny space in a clean and organized manner, such that you will have ample space left for other things.
This is for rooms without a wardrobe that takes all the space. You find that open racks will not take too much space, you can iron and hang your clothes on them and still have a lot of space for boxes or even a shoe rack underneath them. It’s just a rod that will keep your clothes neat and pressed, while still conserving and maximizing space for you.
Use your bed
You want to utilize this furniture as much as possible. Who says you can’t make a drawer that will be attached to your bed? Attached drawers are great for storage. Want to store your folded clothes? Try a bed-drawer! While it’s likely going to take a considerable amount of space in your room, you won’t have to worry about where to store certain items and what additional spaces they might take!
This cannot be stressed enough for maximizing space. You want to make sure to get items that can perform more than one function. Want a vanity in your room? How about a table with drawers attached to them? This table can serve as a vanity for when you want to dress up or even as an official desk for when you want to do some serious work. The drawers could hold your folded clothes or even your make – up.
Be a minimalist
Being minimal is the simple life. It helps you achieve so much clarity than you can even imagine. Use bigger, but fewer furnishings. Do you own three different items that perform similar options? Pick out the most durable one and trash the rest. Simply organize and fill your home or room with necessities. Ask long term questions – if you’re a budget junkie, so you can determine which items are just filling unnecessary space. Being minimalistic also fuels your creativity and gives your room a clean and simple, yet quality finish in the end.
One of the best ways to maximize space is to be vertical with your organization/set up. Horizontal set ups are great for certain areas in the home, but vertical methods are amazing for conserving space. Let’s say you want a vanity, a working table and a book shelf. There are vanities that could definitely work as book shelves and cloth drawers. Simply find a corner for your multi-functional fixture and fix your library atop it. There’s usually a lot of underutilized space atop out pieces that are begging for attention and creativity.
